BONCHI Kyoto: Miniature ★Kawaii★ Bento Workshop
In this class, you will learn how to make a mini version of a Bento (lunch box) using polymer clay, acrylic paint, and polyvinyl acetate glue. The bento’s ingredients are grilled salmon, fried shrimp, octopus-shaped sausage, broccoli, tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, naruto, boiled egg, white rice, and picked plums. If you like small and cute things, don’t hesitate to join us!
All skill levels are welcome. This workshop is open to anyone 9 years and up.
All materials and tools included. Refreshments provided.

Mayuka Haginaga is a miniature food artist based in Kyoto, Japan. She has been running her miniature food workshop, BONCHI KYOTO (@bonchikyoto), since 2017. Mayuka has taught nearly 2,000 people how to make miniature food with polymer clay. Teaching a workshop in the U.S. is one of her dreams, and she’s excited to come to NYC in September to continue sharing her passion.
